Clods in the Clouds

Today is our last formal hike(thank god).

Following a hearty helping of goat horn and udders on toast we ascend to towards the church at Stavros. Somebody has gone this way the day before and has strewn our path with flowers.

But it looks like we have angered the ancient gods and we eventually are surrounded by dense clouds with minimal visibility and a howling wind-thank goodness there is only a 500 metre  drop to the ocean on one side of the path. However with niggardly persnickitidness we reach our destination with magnificent sweeping 360 degree views of fog!

We stop for lunch at another church on the way down

and finally arrive back bedraggeled at our digs ,all of us giving off a slightly goaty odour.
